Moravian stars are decorative stars often used during Advent and Christmas to represent the Star of Bethlehem.

Come and spend the morning learning how to use English Paper piecing to create this stunning decoration. Kelly will show you how make this twelve sided star with stunning fabrics and careful hand stitching. You will begin to stitch your own star and then be given the paper pieces and skills to continue the project at home.

The ‘Come and Try …’ sessions have been designed as a relaxed, informal morning where a new quilting or patchwork technique will be tried. Over the months these sessions will help to increase skills, knowledge and passion for sewing. These sessions are proving very popular - so book early! A lovely morning guaranteed with like minded people and a new skill or two!

Materials will be provided for this session - but if you do have any fabric that you will like to incorporate please do bring them along. This is a great way of using up those Christmas remnants!

All classes are held in our stable studio in the beautiful village of Isfield. Please note that the studio is 80 metres approximately from the driveway along a gravel path - so those will mobility difficulties please take note. Due to the studio’s idyllic position the nearest toilet is back up the path in the main house.

If, for any unforseen reasons the class has to be cancelled firstly a new date will be offered and you may either transfer to the new date or a refund will be issued. Should you need to change your booking please get in touch with Kelly as soon as possible to discuss alternative plans.
