The bargello patchwork pattern simply rises and falls creating the most elegant wavy affect. Originating in Italian embroidery, bargello patchwork can be used to create the most satisfying zig zag pattern.
Spend the day in our light and airy studio learning how to make a bargello cushion. Kelly will teach you how to carefully sew, cut and arrange strips of fabric to make a bargello piece. This one block will make a cushion - but could however be repeated several times to make a quilt or larger project. You will effectively be learning the bargello technique.
Skill level - intermediate with some patchwork experience desirable
You will need to bring -
a sewing machine
15 x 1.75” strips (width of fabric)
There will be other fabric requirements but these will be emailed in the confirmation email nearer the date
All classes are held in our stable studio in the beautiful village of Isfield. Please note that the studio is 80 metres approximately from the driveway along a gravel path - so those will mobility difficulties please take note. Due to the studio’s idyllic position the nearest toilet is back up the path in the main house.
If, for any unforseen reasons the class has to be cancelled firstly a new date will be offered and you may either transfer to the new date or a refund will be issued. Should you need to change your booking please get in touch with Kelly as soon as possible to discuss alternative plans.
The price of £65 includes tuition as well as a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
